Dual Printing Modes (Direct Thermal & Thermal Transfer):
Enjoy maximum operational flexibility. Use Direct Thermal (ribbon-free) mode for temporary, fast-turnaround labels such as courier airway bills, daily shipping tags, and food kitchen tokens. Switch to Thermal Transfer (using Wax, Wax-Resin, or Resin ribbons) on chromo stickers or polyester media for smudge-proof, chemical-resistant, and scratch-resistant labels that stay readable for years.

Heavy-Duty 300-Meter Ribbon Capacity:
Unlike entry-level compact printers that require frequent ribbon replacements using small 74-meter rolls, the TE244 accommodates industry-standard 300-meter ribbons on a 1-inch core. This larger capacity significantly cuts machine downtime and lowers cost-per-label on high-volume print runs.

Fast, High-Density 203 DPI Output:
Powered by an efficient 400 MHz 32-bit RISC processor paired with 16 MB SDRAM and 8 MB Flash memory, the printer swiftly processes large print spools, complex 2D Datamatrix codes, and high-density 1D barcodes. It clocks print speeds of up to 6 inches per second (152.4 mm/s) without dropouts or jagged edges.

Dual-Motor Gear-Driven Mechanism:
Equipped with TSC’s proven gear-driven dual-motor design, the TE244 separates the label feed and ribbon drive mechanisms. This reduces motor strain, absorbs mechanical torque, dampens operating noise, and dramatically prolongs printhead life.

Effortless Media Loading & Sensor Versatility:
The clamshell outer shell pops open smoothly to expose an unobstructed media bay. With movable transmissive (gap) and reflective (black mark) sensors, it aligns accurately to pre-printed labels, round tags, perforated stickers, and continuous rolls.
